Vineyard: Monastrell: sourced from El Término de Arriba in Jumilla, with sandy soils containing pebbles and limestone, at an altitude of 700 meters, surrounded by Mediterranean scrubland. Syrah: sourced from the Estrecho de Marín valley, with poor sandy-loam soils, at an altitude of 360 meters.
Vinification: Vinified separately in open stainless steel tanks, with the bunch grape fully destemmed but the berries kept whole and uncrushed. 15 months of ageing in 500-liter oak barrels.
Tasting note: On the nose, it displays dominant aromas of black fruit, with hints of cocoa powder and the distinctive notes of Mediterranean scrubland. On the palate, it is broad, flavorful, with a refreshing acidity that provides fluidity, juiciness, and persistence.
Best served with: Excellent to pair with cured meats, stews, rice dishes, and red meats.
